Getting Started

How do I connect my glucometer?

Go to Devices tab, tap the + button, and follow the pairing instructions. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.

How do I sync readings from my glucometer?

Once your glucometer is connected, tap the Sync button on the Devices screen. Readings will be automatically imported.

How do I add a manual glucose reading?

Go to the Metrics tab and tap the + button in the top right corner. Enter your glucose value, select the meal context, and tap Save.

How do I set up reminders?

Go to the Reminders tab and tap the + button. Choose the time, select which days to repeat, and save your reminder.

What glucometers are supported?

Fixic Health currently supports the Fixic BGM-1 glucometer. More devices will be added in future updates.

Common Solutions

How do I change glucose units (mg/dL or mmol/L)?

Go to More → Units & Preferences. You can switch between mg/dL and mmol/L. All readings will be automatically converted.

Why am I not receiving reminder notifications?

Go to More → Notifications and make sure notifications are enabled. Also check your device Settings → Fixic Health → Notifications to ensure they are allowed.

How do I delete a reminder?

On the Reminders screen, find the reminder you want to remove and tap the Delete button. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

How do I view my glucose history?

The Metrics tab shows your glucose chart and reading history. You can tap on any reading to see its details.

Is my health data secure?

Yes. Your data is stored securely on your device and encrypted during sync. See our Privacy Policy in More → Policies for full details.

Fixic BGM-1 Glucometer Errors

E2 - The meter is sensing a used or contaminated test strip.

Discard the test strip and repeat the test with a new test strip. Wait until you see the flashing blood drop on the display before testing.

E3 - Incorrect test strip.

Discard the test strip and repeat the test with a new test strip. Make sure that you are using a Fixic test strip.

E4 - Incorrect sample.

Discard the test strip and repeat the test with a new test strip. Make sure that only human capillary blood and Fixic control solution are used for the test.

E5 - Temperature out of range.

Move to an area that is within the operating range for the meter. Let the meter adjust to this temperature for 20 minutes before performing a test.

E6, E7 - Potential hardware issue.

Restart the meter. If the problem continues, contact Fixic Customer Support at info@fixichealth.com.

E8 - A test strip was inserted while the meter was connected to a computer or wall outlet.

When the charge is completed (about 2 hours when charging an empty battery), remove the Micro USB cable from the meter, and then take a test.

E9 - Insufficient sample.

Repeat the test and apply enough sample to fill the test strip check window.

Hi - The test result is above 600 mg/dL.

Wash and dry your hands well and the test site. Repeat the test using a new test strip. If your result still flashes HI, contact your health care professional as soon as possible.

L0 - The test result is below 20 mg/dL.

Repeat the test using a new test strip. If your result still flashes LO, contact your health care professional as soon as possible.
